orbit fleet / Fleets · Quoting and issuance / In PoC

One fleet, many scenarios. A single run.

Quoting a hundred-vehicle fleet across ten locations and two packages means two thousand quotes that are done one by one today. orbit fleet launches them in a single run against the insurer's own rating service, lines the scenarios up side by side and, once Underwriting signs off, builds the issuance layouts split by legal entity.

7 Variation axes per scenario, from ZIP code to policy term
3 Ways to build scenarios: matrix, selection or file
7 Variables to split issuance, starting with legal entity

01 · Context

Every scenario is another trip to the rating engine.

When a client asks what their fleet would cost in another location or with another package, the agent re-keys the fleet vehicle by vehicle into the rating tool. Every combination of conditions multiplies the work, so people compare two or three options instead of the ones that matter. Then the approved quote is retyped into the format Issuance requires, splitting legal entities, payment plans and policy terms into separate files. That is where duplicate plates, mistyped VINs and cargo units with no cargo type show up, usually after the file has already bounced back.

02 · What it is

orbit fleet in one sentence

A multitenant platform that takes a vehicle fleet in Excel, validates and normalizes it, quotes it under every combination of conditions the agent defines against the insurer's rating service, and turns the approved scenario into fleet issuance request layouts, one per group, with an index and an executive summary in PDF.

03 · How it works

Four steps. No magic.

From the client's spreadsheet to the package Issuance receives, in a single case file.

01

Fleet upload

The agent uploads the spreadsheet exactly as the client sent it. AI proposes the column mapping, the platform normalizes each vehicle and flags duplicate VINs, repeated plates, unsupported uses and out-of-range model years.

02

Scenarios

The agent picks the axes: ZIP code, package, driver age, payment plan, deductible, discount and term. Before launching, a counter shows how many vehicle quotes the run will produce.

03

Run

An orchestrator spreads calls to the rating service at the agreed concurrency, retries failed vehicles and delivers the comparison matrix, per-vehicle detail and an Excel export.

04

Issuance

The winning scenario becomes the slip. Underwriting's response is reconciled vehicle by vehicle, the fleet is split by legal entity and variables, and out come the layouts, the index and the executive summary.

How it works · orbit fleet live

What it does not promise

orbit fleet does not rate on its own and does not compare insurers: every premium comes from the insurer's rating service, and first-stage premiums are reference figures until Underwriting approves them. If the service does not support an axis, such as driver age or payment plan, the configurator disables it and says why. It does not issue in the company's core system either: it hands the layout to Issuance. Collections, post-issuance endorsements and renewals are out of scope.

04 · What it does

Where it goes to work.

Four moments in fleet sales where the most time is lost today.

01

Multi-location proposal

The same fleet quoted in every location where it operates, to show the client where and with which package it pays off.

02

Fleet cleanup

Per-vehicle traffic light and inline fixes before quoting, instead of finding errors when Issuance sends the file back.

03

Underwriting reconciliation

The approved response, in Excel or PDF, compared against the quote: same, changed, missing or extra.

04

Issuance by legal entity

One layout per homogeneous group, with the insured on the first row and columns in the order of the official template.

05 · Benefits

What changes when you have it.

What changes when the fleet is captured once and reused across the whole process.

Request demo
1

You compare the scenarios that matter

Adding a location or a package means ticking a value, not re-keying the fleet.

2

Errors surface before quoting

Duplicate VINs, repeated plates and incomplete cargo data are stopped at upload, not at Issuance.

3

The rating service is not overloaded

Concurrency is configurable and large runs can be scheduled overnight.

4

Traceability for every premium

Every quote stores the service request and response, and every action is logged in the case file.

5

Insured data protected

Personal data is encrypted at rest and each agent sees only the case files under their own agent code.

06 · Before and after

What changes, side by side.

The same fleet, before and after orbit fleet.

Before / Without orbit fleet

Today's day-to-day

  • ✕ Each scenario is keyed in vehicle by vehicle
  • ✕ Two or three options get compared because there is no time for more
  • ✕ Fleet errors show up when Issuance sends the file back
  • ✕ Underwriting's response is eyeballed against the quote
  • ✕ Layouts per legal entity are built by hand
After / With orbit fleet

With the fleet in one case file

  • ✓ The fleet is loaded once and quoted under every scenario
  • ✓ The matrix compares locations, packages and conditions in one view
  • ✓ The traffic light stops errors before quoting
  • ✓ Reconciliation flags what changed on each vehicle
  • ✓ Layouts come out split and ready for Issuance
07 · Industries

Where it applies today.

It is built around an auto insurer's rating service and its fleet issuance format.

01 / Auto insurers

The company's fleet desk

In-house account managers and Underwriting work on the same case file, with the company's own rating service behind it.

02 / Agents and agencies

Whoever sells corporate fleets

Each agent sees their own case files and each account manager sees those of the agents assigned to them.
